Daisy Lehman

Wauwatosa West High School Senior Margaret “Daisy” Lehman has been selected as a Coca-Cola Scholar in the 2024 Coca-Cola Scholars Program. Lehman was selected to be one of only 150 students to receive a $20,000 college scholarship and join the Coca-Cola Class of 2024.

Lehman was selected based on her academic excellence, leadership, and service demonstrated in her school and community activities. She was chosen out of an original pool of 103,800 applicants.

To be named a Coca-Cola Scholar, Lehman completed an application in the first phase and qualified as one of 1,514 semi-finalists. She then submitted essays, a letter of recommendation from Wauwatosa School District Superintendent Dr. Demond Means, and a school transcript. Based on those submissions, Lehman was named one of 250 regional finalists. She then was interviewed by a selection committee, and was ultimately named one of the 150 Coca-Cola Scholars in the Class of 2024.

Coca-Cola Scholars will be welcomed into the Coke Scholars network during Scholars Weekend, from April 25-28, 2024, in Atlanta. They will attend the Coca-Cola Scholars Banquet on Thursday evening at the Georgia International Convention Center. There will be more than 800 guests in attendance to honor them and their accomplishments. In addition to the banquet, the weekend will include a leadership development aspect facilitated by past alumni. Scholars Weekend will also include tours of local landmarks in Atlanta, networking with alumni and staff, and a group community service project. All accommodations will be provided for by the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation.

A joint effort of Coca-Cola bottlers across the country and The Coca-Cola Company, the Coca-Cola Scholars Program is the largest corporate-sponsored, achievement-based scholarship program in the United States. With the addition of the 36th class, the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation will have provided more than 6,900 Coke Scholars nationwide with over $84 million in scholarships since 1986.
